It’s a fair question when considering a SANIFLO unit for a new toilet, bathroom, or utility room: how does SANIFLO work?
The answer lies in the combination of macerating and pumping technology used in SANIFLO units.
A Saniflo can be installed in a domestic property where there is no mains drainage pipe available. This means you can have a toilet anywhere, without worrying about mains drainage.
ARC Contractors have been established for 30 years and have many years’ experience in Plumbing, Heating, Repairs/Installation. We have authorised Saniflo Service Engineers and specialise in Bathroom Installations from start to finish.
How does a Saniflo toilet work?
A Saniflo up flush toilet is actually quite simple when you flush the toilet, a macerating device inside of the tank activates. Waste inside of the tank is then pulverised within four seconds and the waste material is then pumped into a septic or soil stack up to 150 feet away. The waste is flushed through a pipe measuring one inch in diameter, so installation does not require major upheaval.
Saniflo produces high-quality and efficient toilets that meet the needs of different users. Saniflo toilets are excellently designed, which means at ARC Contractors, we can easily match them with current bathroom designs and decor.
Is it Easy to Install a Saniflo toilet?
Like many things, it’s easy if you know what you’re doing! If a Saniflo is not installed correctly, it can easily break down. While it is not a big, complicated job to install a Saniflo, you do need a certain degree of expertise.
Is a Saniflo noisy?
A Saniflo is no louder than a toilet flushing, and sound volume may vary from one installation to another. Depending on the product and especially the surroundings, you can opt for a layer of sound insulation between the macerator and the floor or wall for even better soundproofing.
What is the lifetime of a Saniflo?
The lifetime of a Saniflo depends mainly on proper installation and proper use. At ARC Contractors, our Sanifloe installations typically have a lifetime of 10 to 15 years with minimal maintenance.
A Saniflo toilet installation can occur almost anywhere in the home.
Saniflo toilets are installable almost anywhere in the home, regardless of what your drainage system or plumbing set up happens to be. These types of toilets are an excellent addition to a basement bathroom where the upward movement of waste is necessary. You can even install them in areas like an outdoor workshop, a nook under the stairs, or a similar location.
This technology is exceptionally water-efficient.
Saniflo toilets meet or exceed water use expectations, and compared to the traditional toilet design, and you may save upwards of 70% if you replace an older toilet with this technology. It may also help you achieve energy-efficiency ratings in your home.
